RAUL PADRO
Raul Padro was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico and raised in Indianapolis, IN. His music interest grew as he traveled with his family through Europe (Germany & France) as an 'army brat'. He has been a musician for 34 years, 17 years full time, 17 years semi-professional. The trapset is his primary instrument but he also plays Afro Cuban and AfroBrazilian percussion, including congas, timbales and bongo. Raul has studied with Andrew Lazaro, Orlando Cotto, Oretes Vilato , Chanquito Quintana, Horatio 'El Negro' Hernandez, Alberto Neto, Allen Dawson, Dane Clark and in Matanzas, Cuba. His favorite music is Afro Cuban and AfroBrazilian. His main ambitions are to keep playing and grow musically.
